When converting PDF to images, choose PNG format for documents with text, diagrams, or sharp graphics — PNG is lossless and preserves crisp edges. Use JPEG for PDFs that are primarily photographic content, where the smaller file size outweighs the slight quality reduction from compression.
The converter renders pages at 2x scale by default, which produces images at twice the PDF's native resolution. This ensures the output images are sharp and readable, especially for text-heavy documents. If you need smaller file sizes, use JPEG format with a quality setting of 70–80%, which provides a good balance between quality and size.
When creating a PDF from images, use the "Fit" (contain) option to preserve the aspect ratio of your images without cropping. If all your images are the same size and orientation, the "Auto" page size option will create a PDF where each page exactly matches the image dimensions, with no white borders.
